Costa Rica

No photo description available.

Most trips have their near-death stories and peculiar situations. Costa Rica was no exception. When Ray and I arrived in Dominical to rent our car, we realized that Ray's US driver's license was expired, so they wouldn't rent the car to him. We had to rent it in my name. However, I didn't (and still don't) know how to drive a stick-shift car. We left there with Ray driving illegally. This normally wouldn't be a huge deal, except for the fact that every time we entered and exited the quaint surf town, we had to drive through a traffic stop with police checking papers. Fortunately, we never got stopped, but we sweated it every time.
