Morocco: Saharan Desert
We traveled 200 miles westerly today, through the Atlas Mountains and Berber villages. Stopping for the night and eating dinner on the rooftop terrace, I once again encountered another thing that unites us: kids playing Rock, Paper, Scissors. #LoveTrumpsHate
Ait BenHaddou
UNESCO World Heritage Site
Giant fortification, made up of six forts and nearly fifty palaces. Example of earthen clay architecture.
Many popular movies/tv shows have been filmed here. Game of Thrones, Prince of Persia, Gladiator, Mummy, etc.

Getting ready to hit the Sahara Desert on our camels to catch the sunset. The landscape and architecture is unreal.
Well, my friends, today will go down as one of the most memorable days ever. I was able to ride a camel during sunrise and ride back to 11 hours to Marrakech through the vast and varying landscapes an crazy, tricky mountain roads.

Another magical day. Had the chance to observe the Call to Prayer from outside a mosque, chatted with a local artist/restaurant owner about daily life in Marrakech (while waiting for the chef to return an hour and a half later), and lastly had Berber Whisky aka Mint Tea, from a rooftop terrace while watching the hustle and bustle of the night market.
